Chinmaya Jyoti Yatra

The Jyoti Yatra is one of the first CHYK West projects to encompass the whole Chinmaya Mission West and it is done as an offering to Gurudev for his Centennial Celebration. It will be a year long event in which we will have 4 Jyotis (lamps) that will travel the four regions of the USA and Canada, stopping at each Chinmaya Mission center in that region. The Jyoti will be housed at each center for roughly a month, during which various events shall be held as part of the “Yatra” to help spread awareness of who Gurudev is and build unity and a sense of belonging among all the Chinmaya Mission Centers and study groups.
The Jyoti is symbolic of Pujya Gurudev Himself and we will  receive and house the Chinmaya Jyoti from Oct 3 through Oct 31, 2015. We are expecting the Jyoti to arrive at 6 pm on Oct 3 from Portland, so kindly assemble by 5:45 pm at Chinmaya Triveni.
Our Gita Jnana Yajna on Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12 starts at 6 pm.

Chinmaya Triveni

Chinmaya Mission Sacramento has been conducting Bala Vihar and Study Group classes for some years now. This 2017-18 academic year represents the 26th consecutive year that our Bala Vihar has served the Greater Sacramento Community.

Chinmaya Mission Sacramento was registered as a CM center in Oct 2008, with satellite relationship to Chinmaya Mission San Jose.  As of Jan 2015, CM Sacramento has been incorporated as an independent CM center.  It continues to grow steadily in service with increasing support from many dedicated volunteers and benefactors from the Greater Sacramento Indo-American community.
